Meet the Founder

I built this because I know what it's like to start with nothing but a phone and a dream.

I'm DeOrsay “Dee” Foster, founder of TaxProista, and here's the truth: you don't need a finance degree, a corporate background, or ten years in this industry to build a real tax business. You need the right training, the right software, and someone who actually picks up the phone when you have questions.

I'm AFSP Credentialed, and I've spent real time in this industry — not just teaching it, doing it. I know what happens behind the scenes: what makes a return get flagged, what makes a client stay, what separates a preparer who's guessing from one who actually knows what they're doing.

Whatever track you're on — PTIN, ERO, Reseller, or Service Bureau — you're getting real mentorship, not a PDF and a “good luck.” I lead like an owner because I am one, and I expect the same from everyone who joins us.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a PTIN and an EFIN?+
A PTIN lets you legally prepare paid tax returns. An EFIN lets you e-file returns as your own IRS Authorized e-file Provider. New preparers usually start with a PTIN under our EFIN, then apply for their own once they've got experience.
Do I need experience to apply?+
No. The PTIN Program is built for beginners with less than two years of experience. If you're more experienced, the ERO, Reseller, or Service Bureau tracks may be a better fit.
What does the training program cover?+
Live virtual classes covering tax law basics, our software, client workflows, and how to run your business — plus 1:1 coaching as needed. Exact 2026 dates are being finalized.
What happens after I submit my application?+
Our team reviews it and reaches out within 48 to 72 hours to walk you through next steps — starting with your welcome letter.
Will I need to submit my ID or Social Security number?+
Not on the application. A copy of your Driver's License and Social Security card is only required after approval, as part of final onboarding, through a secure process — never uploaded to the initial form.
What's the difference between the four tracks?+
PTIN is for beginners filing under our EFIN. ERO is for preparers ready to file under their own EFIN. Reseller is for building a team and earning from software sales. Service Bureau is passive income from helping other preparers succeed.

We're looking for go-getters. Is that you?

Fill out the application, and expect a call from our team within 48 to 72 hours.

You'll be asked for basic contact info, your experience level, and which track interests you. ID and SSN are only requested after approval — never on this form.
